Louisville Veteran's Day Parade & Massing of Colors

Plan now to attend the annual UAW 862/Ford Motor Company Veterans Day Parade and Massing of the Colors on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2013. The Parade will start at 11:11 A.M., the exact time the Armistice took effect to end World War I in 1918. The Parade Route will start at 4th and Chestnut Streets in downtown Louisville and continue north on 4th to Main, where it will turn left and march west on Main to 6th. The Massing of the Colors Ceremony will take place at the Review Stand on the steps of the Kentucky Center immediately after the last parade unit passes.
Additional activities for the day will include:
*Displays of vintage military vehicles and equipment and Information Booths from parade sponsors and organizations serving veterans on Main Street between 4th and 6th from 10:30 to 1:00
*USO Canteen style celebration at 4th Street Live! immediately following the Parade and Massing of the Colors
*Wreath laying at the War Memorials on Jefferson Street in front of the County Courthouse by a representative of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police at 1:00 P.M.
